Let your words find a new shape.
Give me your text — a whisper, a memory, a dream, a fragment of soul.
Let your imagination fly beyond the ordinary,
and place your trust in my brush.
Eternal moment
Commissioned Work
This painting was created as a commission, inspired by a poem that held a deeply personal childhood memory for the client. She wished to bring that memory into a new setting not only by words but colors and patterns for her summer house among the vineyards of Bordeaux.
می نوش که عمر جاودانی این است
خود حاصل از دور جوانی این است
هنگام گل و باده و یاران سرمست
خوش باش دمی که زندگانی این است
Drink wine—for this is life made eternal,
The finest gift that youth can ever leave.
When flowers bloom, wine flows, and friends rejoice,
Be happy in this moment—for this is life.
This painting is an exploration of life as an act of celebration; its fleetingness, intensity, and the happiness we create by fully inhabiting the present.
Inspired by Omar Khayyam’s verse, “Drink wine, for this is the eternal life…”, the poem is written twice across the canvas, once in red and once in blue. The two colours intertwine, overlap and move through one another, transforming the written word into a visual rhythm.
Bordeaux Red, evoking wine, passion, pleasure and vitality, becomes a symbol of the impulse to embrace life.
Blue, in contrast, suggests life itself in its broader sense—its depth, continuity and moments of contemplation.
As the two colours meet, the boundary between wine and life begins to dissolve: wine becomes a metaphor for living fully.
The dense, almost woven calligraphy reflects the complexity and richness of existence. Yet behind it, the luminous red-to-blue field opens into space, allowing the composition to breathe. The vivid colours emerging through the layers of writing suggest how joy, love, pleasure and human connection can give colour and meaning to an otherwise fleeting existence.
Rather than simply illustrating Khayyam’s poem, the work translates its philosophy into colour and movement: life is temporary, but the way we experience it can make it feel eternal.
